Klapa singing, which has been on the UNESCO List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity since 2012, is a special form of polyphonic singing that is deeply rooted in the identity of Dalmatia.
The word “kantaduri” comes from the verb kantati – to sing, and kantaduri are the guardians of an old tradition passed down from generation to generation, often without music – only by heart and ear.
