Gala concert: 150 years of Stari Grad brass band

The Stari Grad Brass Orchestra was founded way back in 1876, and can proudly say that it has been continuously active for 150 years.
The first musical society in Stari Grad was founded under the name Banda Cittadina (City Music) whose 1876 statute testifies to the first organised woodwind orchestra and the cultivation of the musical culture of Stari Grad. Its first chaplains were Czech – Sanitrak, Fronek, Svoboda, and Jelenek.
The Stari Grad Brass Orchestra takes part in all state, secular and religious holidays, and often performs outside Croatia were they regularly win the hearts of audiences as well as professional awards.
