Poje Hvar
Poje is a unique culinary concept on Hvar Island, set on a UNESCO-protected family estate. Through private cooking classes and dinners, Poje offers an authentic experience of local traditions, culture, and history. The menu is based on family recipes, homemade drinks, and fresh ingredients from Poje’s own garden. Guests enjoy an intimate and personalized culinary experience, together with field tours, tastings, and storytelling about Hvar’s rich heritage.
Wanna Eat Like a Hvar Local? Poje Hvar offers a boutique dining and cooking experience set in a family-owned field, part of the UNESCO-protected area known as Stari Grad Plain, Ager, or Hora. Poje’s rustic environment, enclosed by dry-stone walls and surrounded by artichoke bushes, almond and olive trees, a lavender field, and a vineyard, creates a beautiful setting for our culinary experience — traditional dishes presented with a modern twist on traditional delicacies.
This ancient agricultural landscape has been cultivated continuously for over 24 centuries, dating back to the arrival of Greek settlers in 384 BC.
Poje’s cooking classes and dinners offer a window into Hvar’s past, showcasing local stories, authentic recipes, and freshly harvested ingredients. Guests can pick produce from the organic garden and learn about traditional cuisine and regenerative practices.
